Welcome to our school

I am delighted to welcome you to Hempstead Infant School.

Hempstead Infant School is part of the Hempstead Schools Federation  along with Hempstead Junior School, and together we are committed to providing the very best provision to the pupils and families in our care.

We are a three form entry infant school for ages 4-7, situated in the residential area of Hempstead on the edge of the Medway Towns. Despite our large size, we are proud of the 'village-school' feel we have established at the school and alongside our local community.

Challenge, resilience, confidence and respect

We have high expectations of children in their formal learning but also in the way they interact with the rest of the school community; we place a great deal of importance upon good manners and behaviour.

We encourage children and parents to participate in the curriculum both in school and at home as we know this has a significant impact on the achievement of our children.
